What are the raw materials used to make plastic bags?

Within the plastics industry there are different sectors: the production of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products; and the plastics recycling industry.

Plastic raw materials are manufactured by the Petrochemical Industry through the industrial processing of derivatives mainly derived from petroleum, natural gas and salt (sodium chloride) and include HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PP, PS, PET, ABS, SAN, polyester resins and polyamides, among others.

The Plastic Recycling Industry purchases post-consumer plastic materials (packaging, secondary packaging, urban solid waste) and post-industrial waste. All these inputs are recycled to produce new raw material that re-enters the productive circuit as input for the Transforming Industry, for the manufacture of new products.

A garbage bag is an everyday object, used to contain and transport domestic garbage (dust, food wrappers, etc); which ends up being a highly demanded product, due to the fact that, its use in households is daily, since you constantly have to deposit the garbage bag in sanitation trucks that transport the garbage, either to an incinerator, landfill or recycling area.  Therefore, opening or setting up a garbage bag factory, nowadays, becomes a very profitable business, see some basic tips!

Raw materials: The raw material used by garbage bag factories are recycled materials, because in addition to being sustainable and environmentally friendly, it also reduces costs and makes recycling activities to develop.

Coloring: The color of plastic and its shades, come from a chemical substance called aniline, so if you want to make colored bags, use calculated and standardized amounts of that substance.

It is used in the manufacture of plastic bags.

3.        When they are completely melted, they come out through a nozzle in the form of a plastic balloon. This balloon cools down and as it returns to normal temperature, it is collected in the form of a large spool.

Today plastic bags are used in excess, and the worst thing is that they are used only once and then go to the garbage. Each bag takes centuries to disintegrate, and pollutes the earth and water because of all the elements that come from petroleum and that were used in its manufacture.

Uses of plastic bags

One of the main applications of wood is the manufacture of pulp for paper manufacturing. Although there are several methods of obtaining this pulp with different raw materials, wood is the most widely used.

There are many types of paper and each of them is obtained by treating the cellulose pulp in a different way or with different substances: Foil, cardboard, brown paper, hard cardboard, corrugated cardboard, etc.

In Ancient Egypt, people used to write on papyrus, a very abundant plant on the banks of the Nile River (Cyperus papyrus). In Europe, during the Middle Ages, parchment was used, which consisted of tanned goat or ram skins, prepared to receive the ink. However, this process was costly, so that from the eighth century onwards it was customary to erase the texts from the parchment in order to rewrite on them (giving rise to palimpsests), thus losing an inestimable quantity of works.

It was the general use of the shirt, in the 14th century, which allowed enough rags or old shirts to be available to make paper at economic prices and thanks to which the invention of the printing press allowed the book to emerge, not as a curiosity but as an affordable product, together with the production of paper at reasonable prices.
