Polyethylene (PE) polymers are semi-crystalline thermoplastics with high toughness and very good chemical resistance. Compared to other plastics, polyethylene tends to have lower mechanical and temperature resistance.
Different polyethylene materials vary in molecular weight, which has a direct effect on the relative physical properties of each type. The most commonly used PE types are PE-HD, PE-HMW and PE-UHMW. What is polyethylene
High-density polyethylene is obtained by addition, that is, by adding different units of ethylene. This characteristic is, in turn, the main difference between high-density polyethylene and low-density polyethylene.

It is also a very easy material to process by methods such as injection or extrusion. High-density polyethylene is a recyclable material, especially through mechanical and thermal recycling. It has the Plastic Identification Code 2.
The properties of HDPE/PEAD make it suitable for the manufacture of a wide variety of objects such as pipes, cleaning product bottles, caps for all types of containers and plastic tables and chairs.
