The architects describe this ecological house as a box that is in the process of opening, revealing an elongated piece of cantilevered metal. It is as if it were a jewel, hence the name Villa Jewel Box. It is located on an elongated and sloping plot with a beautiful view of one of the most important lakes in the region. It was built in compliance with energy efficiency requirements, in order to achieve an ecological certification from Switzerland.

The main body of this villa is cantilevered at its southern end, and is mainly clad in glass and Corten steel. It is two stories high, plus a basement with utility and storage rooms. It is organized with a large first floor space for living+dining+kitchen functions, with the living room seamlessly linked to the pool terrace, and a library on the opposite side.  Behind the kitchen hides the staircase that communicates with the basement, but what is further north is more complicated to understand, because we must be guided by the graphics of the floor plans (the text is not guessed). HOMI Fashion & Jewels, which returns in September 18-20, is gearing up for an edition focused on one of the most relevant topics of the moment. Sustainability – social, ethical and economic – is synonymous with creativity and also recovery. Increasingly, a different attitude, one that is more conscious of our environmental impact, is seen as a way out of the crisis.

HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition has become a manifesto of inspired, vital and contemporary sustainability, increasingly broadening its focus and offering itself as an authentic ecological hub with real and solid solutions for urgent needs. An approach adopted by the event by virtue of its key role as a mediator and representative of fashion accessories, an industry that was hit hard by the pandemic and now sees sustainability, both environmental and social, as a key asset for the long-awaited reopening.

This awareness emerged during a very challenging time and was immediately incorporated by companies across the sector that have rethought the entire supply chain, focusing on increasingly green production. A direct consequence of both the period and, more importantly, consumer demands that had knock-on effects for the entire end product, from its materials to its packaging. It turns out that consumers are increasingly aware of their choices. All thanks to the transparency that must and will always be prioritized, so that even a single detail can become a discriminating factor and, above all, prove to be a success for the company’s growth and brand recognition.
