Stages of the plastic recycling process
Mexico City, July 16, 2019.- As a society we have the great challenge of taking care of our planet by making an immediate change in our environmental actions. The commitment is in each one of us, and we can start by adopting simple habits to dispose of our waste.
Deposit them in an exclusive PET container, this will make a big difference at the moment of separating waste. If you don’t have one near your home, separate your bottles from the rest of the waste so that at the time of collection it will be easy to identify them.
You see, recycling has its joke, but by following simple steps you can help make a difference. Choose Ciel’s blue bottle and you’ll be helping the environment by allowing us to continue recycling and reusing this material in the best way possible because now more than ever, the planet needs everyone.
Caring for the planet is everyone’s business! Ciel knows this and is doing its part. In 2018, thanks to an innovative way of recycling and reusing PET, it launched its blue bottle made 100% from other bottles. This packaging is completely recycled and recyclable, it’s a tangible sign of its commitment to caring for the environment and, best of all, this solution is at your fingertips!
The 5 steps for aluminum recycling
International Recycling Day, May 17, is a day that highlights the importance of treating waste properly, so as not to contribute to climate change and protect the environment.
Among the many events and activities held to celebrate International Recycling Day 2018, we can highlight the rakes, which are organized in different localities. In them, the separation of the remains is carried out and their location in enabled places.
It will depend on our attitude to save our natural resources, since recycling reduces pollution and generates employment. It is also an excellent way to try to reverse climate change.
Recycling should be understood as the process by which a material or product already used, and therefore condemned to waste, undergoes a treatment to obtain a raw material or a new product. In other words, a waste product is reintroduced into the life cycle.

By raw material we mean any plastic material that can be recycled (HDPE, LDPE, PP, PET, PS, ABS…) in our facilities, the material must be pre-sorted by quality and can come from industrial, post-consumer and agricultural rejects. These materials can arrive at our company in boxes, sacks, Big Bags, shredded, in containers (Bulk) or bales.
We separate those plastic materials different from those that at the moment of consumption correspond to the quality in process, labels, ferrous materials, soils…etc. With this process we guarantee optimum quality, increase production capacities, avoid inefficient production, and will help us to keep control over the raw material supplied by our sources of supply.
Thanks to this phase we achieve a lower consumption of dyes, which gives us a greater benefit both economically and environmentally, as well as a greater variety in the finished products offering different ranges of colors.
Recycling chain and its stages
A very common mistake is not separating waste at source. This can be solved very easily by implementing tailor-made solutions that allow each type of waste generated to be placed in a garbage bag of a specific color; different colors to identify/classify the different waste. For example, different colored bags (black=waste, green=organic, yellow=plastic, blue=paper, etc.) can be used to make subsequent management faster and easier.
The use of our unique Longopac bagging solution ensures that the waste bags are always 100% full – thanks to flexible change intervals – allowing us to make the most of every centimeter of bag and reducing the excessive use of plastic bagging material. In this way, we will avoid costs for always working with half-filled bags or, on the contrary, with bags that are overfilled and cause spills, accidents… and, therefore, delays in bag removal, which directly affects the company’s profits.
