Homemade poison for black ants
Ants are social animals by nature. That means when one invades your space, other ants are sure to follow. But with a combination of ant control products and prevention tips, you can fight them off and protect your family from these unwanted guests.
Nuisance ants often form trails to and from water or food. If you are trying to treat these particular ants, it is important to destroy their pathway as well as the nest, which is usually found outdoors.
Nuisance ants nest indoors and outdoors. They usually build their colonies near the home and hide in the ground or under objects on the floor, or in the home itself. When they enter, you can usually detect that they follow an “invisible trail” to a water or food source. These ants can infest and contaminate your food, so it is important to not only eliminate the ants but also their trail.
The mound-building ants you see outdoors may also enter in search of food and water. These ants build mounds in lawns, in mulch areas and along sidewalks, patios, porches and foundations. Outdoor treatments are critical to controlling mound-building ants.
Why ants come to your house
Having ants in the kitchen can go from being a problem to a real disaster when they appear again and again. You’ve tried all the known remedies, but, after relaxing a bit, you leave a cookie on the table and the ants come back – attracted by their delicious smell. It seems that there is no escape and that you will have to share your apartment with them for the rest of your life. But be patient, you will achieve a clean and safe environment in your home. In order to keep ants at bay, you need to understand why they keep coming back. Here are five reasons why ants queue up to get into your kitchen.
Ants use the plants and trees around your home for shelter and food. Ants with colonies near your home may also use vegetation as a bridge to your home. To prevent any gateway, cut back those plants as soon as you notice any contact with your home. You can also put in plants that scare insects away. Plants such as artemisia, catnip, spearmint or St. Mary’s wort are excellent examples of insect repellent plants.
What it means when ants appear
The lack of hygiene is also a reason that favors the appearance of ants, bread crumbs on the floor, food scraps accumulated in the garbage can, liquid substances stuck to the floor, are sources that attract these insects and can lead to uncomfortable situations due to the presence of ants at home.
Another reason for the massive presence of ants at home is the arrival of spring/summer, seasons in which the proliferation of ants increases and they are more likely to arrive at home.
If the selected insecticide is ARPON® Delta 2.5 CS Microencapsulated, dilute 1% of the insecticide in water and shake to obtain a homogeneous solution to be sprayed on insect trails, baseboard areas, ventilation ducts, cracks and crevices.
Ants inside the walls
How do I get rid of ants in my computer? One way is to lure them out with something sweet and then not let them back in. Another is to suck them out with a vacuum cleaner or blow them away with a reverse vacuum. Don’t forget to take your keyboard out of the notebook to avoid blowing anything unwanted inside.
Draw a chalk line around the outside of your appliance, either around the base of the appliance itself or on the counter or table surrounding it. Ants will not cross a chalk line, as the chalk covers the pheromone scents they use to find their way back to the colony.
Get a large plastic bag that your mac will fit in. Place your mac inside and then spray a paper towel lightly (don’t get it wet!) With the insecticide place the towel at the bottom of the bag (without touching the system) for a few hours. This should kill any ants inside (creating a micro fogger).
Several ants live in wall cavities and under decking. Many ant colonies can be controlled with syrupy baits. Carpenter ants are among the ants that live in wall cavities, chewing wood into sawdust and using the sawdust to help build their nests.
