Plastics Technology spoke to PepsiCo, Nestlé, HP and Walmart to find out how they are working to incorporate recycled content into their packaging and products. Spoiler alert: it involves the entire supply chain, some creativity, a lot of innovation and, of course, money.
Plastic bags might be the biggest target for today’s environmental concerns, but PET bottles have also been in the crosshairs. Beverage companies like PepsiCo are fully aware of this.
PepsiCo committed to making 100% of its packaging recyclable, compostable or biodegradable by 2025, and aims to use 25% recycled plastic content in its plastic packaging by 2025. In addition, PepsiCo aims to reduce the use of 35% virgin plastic across its beverage portfolio.

Restart the computer so that the changes are applied correctly, turn off the printer by disconnecting the power and USB cables from the computer. Press the ON/OFF button on the printer for a few seconds to remove any residual power it may have stored.
Turn the printer back on after a few minutes and install the ink cartridge(s) when requested, but not before. After these steps, it should recognize the installed ink cartridge(s). If it continues to display the error, the cartridge is defective for whatever reason.
Do not confuse this anomaly with the auto update of the day 13/09/2016 in which HP rendered unusable all compatible ink cartridges installed at that time. Forcing to buy new consumables with updated chips.
